Story
To celebrate Oscar’s superhero birthday, rather than receive gifts, he would love to raise some money for his superhero Brompton family, and give back for the support they have provided to our family.
Oscar spent the first few months of his life at the Brompton where he underwent cardiac catheter procedures and open heart surgery, which ultimately gave him the gift of time. Oscar is now a thriving (almost!) 4 year old! With regular check-in’s, tests, and appointments at the Brompton, he continues to benefit from the efforts of this amazing charity, and genuinely looks forward to his visits at outpatients!
The Royal Brompton is a national specialist referral centre that cares for the seriously ill children who cannot be treated in general hospitals. The Brompton Fountain is the children’s charity at Royal Brompton Hospital. They work closely with the teams within the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Paediatric High Dependency Unit (HDU), children’s ward (Rose), the playroom, outpatient departments and hospital school.
Anything you donate, big or small, will make a big difference to other families with critically ill children, and give them access to the same support we received. The money raised can go towards:
❤️🩹Heart monitors for the paediatric ward
💙Specialist heart monitors to help children leave the wards during inpatient stays
❤️🩹Specialist portable blood testing machines
💙Sensory toys for the playrooms which are an escape from all the wires and beeping sounds
❤️🩹Funding accommodation for parents
💙Treats and parent packages for families
❤️🩹Play teams and music teams which visit bed bound patients…
…these are just a few examples! 💙
Oscar thanks you from the bottom of his heart ❤️🩹 and we are forever grateful to the Brompton xxx
