The LIVES Charity Race at Market Rasen Racecourse
To be run in the same format as a National Hunt Flat Race.
For 4 year olds and upwards who have run at least twice under the recognised Rules of Racing.

All horses to be rated: 0-125 for hurdlers/steeplechasers or 0-80 for flat horses
Point-to-pointers can also run subject to individual clearance
NB: An entry for any horse that does not fit the above criteria will be subject to acceptance by Market Rasen Racecourse who will determine the weight that the horse is to carry.
All riders must be 18 years or over. This race is restricted to Amateur Jockeys or Unlicensed riders. Unlicensed riders without previous race riding experience or those who have not held an Amateur license in the last 5 years must attend a fitness and riding assessment day at the British Racing School or Northern Racing College.
All riders are responsible for finding their own horses. All horses to be vaccinated in accordance with Rule 17 of the Rules of Racing. All riders must confirm their fitness to ride with a medical test and must agree to receiving medical attention should it be deemed necessary. All riders must provide their own equipment including the new mandatory back protector and new skull cap as laid down under current BHA Rules of Racing. Each rider will be insured for Personal Accident & Public Liability from Weigh Out to Weigh In.
Each rider is requested raise a minimum of £1000 in sponsorship. Sponsorship will be collated via ‘The LIVES Summer Charity Flat Race’, Just Giving page. Each rider will be invited to join the ‘team’ and will then have access to a linked Just Giving page to start their fundraising.
Any rider withdrawing their entry from this race at any time and for any reason will forfeit any sponsorship monies already lodged.
A maximum of 10 riders only. Entries will be accepted on a first come first granted basis.
