I chose to fundraise for Crossroads Care Kent as I wanted to choose a local charity where the money would have the most direct impact. They are the leading carers charity in Kent, who deliver care and support for anyone living with the challenges of caring, whether that is for a family member or friend who is ill, frail or disabled.

On a personal level I choose this charity as they provided my grandfather with superb palliative care nurses who looked after him throughout the last week of his life. They were incredibly kind, friendly and kept my grandfather entertained. They enabled my grandfather to fulfil his wish of spending the last week of his life at home surrounded by family.
