Story
My dad was the kindest, most selfless person I’ve ever known – the type who would do anything for anyone and never make a fuss about it. In 2023, after a heartbreakingly short two-month battle with cancer, we had to say goodbye far too soon.
In his final days, Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice cared for him (and all of us) with the most incredible compassion, love and dignity. They made an unbearable time bearable and gave us precious moments together as a family that we will treasure forever.
Dad would absolutely laugh at me attempting a half marathon – he’d tell me I need to learn to stretch my legs! But this is my way of honouring him. Every step around London’s landmarks will be for the man who was everyone’s rock, who gave everything to others and asked for nothing in return.
By supporting Sue Ryder, we can help them continue providing that same outstanding end-of-life care to other families when they need it most.
If you can spare anything at all to sponsor me, I’d be so grateful – every single pound will make a difference, and I know it it will make Dad smile down on us.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️
