Over the last few years, the cost of being a student has skyrocketed, and more students are struggling to make ends meet. We want every student to be supported through their studies. By fundraising today, you can make sure no student is left behind.

Story

Supporting Talented Students in Need

The rising cost of being a student has reached unsustainable levels. What was once a crisis has now become the new norm, leaving many bright, hardworking students struggling to afford their education. When financial worries take over, students can’t perform at their best—nor can they fully engage in the social and academic experiences that define university life.

Last year alone, over 1,000 students applied for donor-funded hardship grants—more than ever before. And with financial pressures continuing to mount, demand in 2025 will be even greater. No student should have to choose between affording basic necessities and continuing their education.

That’s why I'm taking on the Purple Wave challenge—to help ensure The University of Manchester remains a place where talent, not financial background, determines success.

Please join me in making a difference. Your support can change a student’s future. Sponsor me today.

Thank you!
