Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit the Slater Cup 'Cycle4MND' Challenge JustGiving page.

Following Gloucester Rugby & former Leicester Tigers captain Ed Slater's diagnosis with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in July 2022, Kevin Sinfield’s incredible achievement completing the '7 in 7 in 7 Challenge' from 1-7 December 2023, inspired by his best mate Rob Burrow, and the tragic loss of Doddie Weir, we wanted to do our bit as rugby supporters to continue raising much needed awareness and funds to support those dealing with MND.

An elite group of rugby fans have teamed up with the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation charity, the Motor Neurone Disease Association charity, & the '4Ed' campaign to cycle approximately 150km 4MND from Gloucester Rugby to Leicester Tigers for The Slater Cup game at Mattioli Woods Welford Road Stadium on 12 March 2024 to raise vital awareness & funds for the MND community.

All proceeds from this page will go to the Motor Neurone Disease Association - a charity which focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. By sponsoring me your money will help people affected by Motor Neurone Disease.

Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to the MND Association. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure, your details are safe - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails.

Thank you again.
