Welcome to the MND Association Bristol and Bath Group's fundraising page. Please support our events and fundraising throughout the year and help local people with motor neurone disease (MND).

MND is a fatal, rapidly progressing disease that attacks the nerves that control movement so muscles no longer work, leaving people locked in a failing body, unable to move, talk and eventually breathe. There is currently no effective treatment for MND and no cure. Over half of people diagnosed will die within two years of diagnosis.

As the voluntary local group throughout Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset we help support people right from diagnosis through regular support groups, signposting vital information and by linking them with an Association Visitor (AV) volunteer. Our AVs are specialist trained volunteers who provide one to one support for families and people living with MND, they can provide practical advice and emotional support to ensure that no one facing MND feels alone.

The Bristol and Bath Group aim to help support local people living with the disease, their carers and friends and anyone affected by MND.

We also help by providing financial assistance for equipment, care and quality of life interventions for people with MND and their families.
