Did you know (I didn’t) that sepsis results in more deaths than the 3 major cancers in the UK (bowel cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer) put together? That there are 5 deaths per hour from sepsis in the UK? And that the World Health Organization (WHO) says that sepsis is the cause of 1 in 5 deaths worldwide?
