Our team of eight is proudly participating in the Great North Run to support Newcastle Hospitals Charity, the official charity for Newcastle Hospitals, which encompasses the Royal Victoria Infirmary, the Freeman Hospital, the Northern Centre for Cancer Care, and various community services.
On Sunday 7 September, we'll join 60,000 runners in the 13.1 mile race from Newcastle to South Shields. Known as the ‘World’s biggest and best half marathon’, for most of the team members this will be their longest, and most challenging run.
The team comprises Director Olga Bell, Cheryl Smith, Andrew Hindes, Lloyd Yeoman, Lewis Lockyer, Inna Pishchanska, Terry Robertson and Alina Mironova.
In the office, we've developed an incentive of ‘Club 1000’ where each member records 20 minutes of training a day to help reach the group’s weekly total of 1000 active minutes.
We are inspired by the incredible work these hospitals do, providing essential healthcare services to our community, including specialized care for children and those battling cancer. The funds we raise will contribute to vital resources, innovative treatments, and enhanced patient care, ensuring that every patient receives the support they need during their journey.
We'll be starting the run and ending the run as a team.
Each step we take on the course represents our commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those who rely on Newcastle's healthcare services.
Join us in supporting this important mission!
