Story
Many of you you will know my physical exercise efforts are sporadic to say the least and often comprise lifting a generous glass of wine. But you also know when I put my mind to something and dedicate my time, I do it with full gusto.
Like earlier in the year, when I decided to run the second ever 5K in my life, with only 3 weeks training. Well, this time I'm urging you to support me in The 137 Challenge with ActionAid this October!
Why 137? This is the number of women, globally, who are killed every single day by a partner, friend or family-member. Around the world, women and girls are fighting to claim their rights and as a mother of two daughters, this breaks my heart.
No one want's this future for their mother, sister, daughter...That's why I'm doing 137 step-ups, squats or sit-ups per day to raise awareness and funds for ActionAid.
Their dedicated local staff are changing the world with women and girls, ending unnecessary violence and fighting poverty, so that all women have the chance to create the future they want.
So, come on, dig deep down the back of the sofa for that loose change and let's make a difference together! I urgently need your support to reach my target of £500.
