Friends - today is Legal Aid of North Carolina's 2nd Annual Day of Giving. This year's theme, #StandwithLANC, emphasizes the importance of standing together to support survivors, veterans, children, families, seniors, and all North Carolinians who require legal assistance, and are unable to afford it.

I'm proud to be a part of Legal Aid NC's mission and wish that each of you could be a fly on the wall in our halls to hear the commitment and drive of our team as they represent clients with basic needs.

As there is no constitutional right to an attorney in civil cases, the advocates and staff at Legal Aid NC strive to make equal justice accessible to everyone and to remove legal barriers to economic opportunity.
