Story
I have been inspired by Lily, who is currently part of the Year 5 class I teach. She is an incredible nine year old championing the campaign against the proposed Pescanova Octopus Farm. Lily will be completing a 2km open water swim on the 25th May.
So this May, I will be supporting and joining her to fundraise for this amazing cause by doing a 5K every day. I will complete this 5K by either walking, running, rowing, cycling, or skiing (using a concept2 erg). I will be doing this with the support of LNRG Fitness, and Vilamoura Sports Academy. Both of which can be found on Instagram @lnrgfitness @vilamourasports .
You can also check out the Ocean Born Foundation's Instragram (@OceanBornFoundation) and website below for more information and follow Lily's Instagram (@swimforimpact) for updates on her training and swim.

Hi Friend,
I am Lily, and I'm on a mission to save my favorite animal, the octopus, and protect the ocean! I recently found out about a proposed Octopus farm in the Canary Islands, and I think it's really cruel to these amazing creatures.
Last year, I swam 5km and raised €2,000 for GOSH children's hospital in London. Now, I'm organizing a swimming fundraiser in Algarve to raise money for Compassion in World Farming, who are working to stop the octopus farm.
I'm so excited to make a difference and I would love for you to join me!
All the money you and I raise on our personal pages will be donated to Compassion in World Farming!
Let's stop this farm and save the octopus from harm!
