We challenge the stigma and raise awareness to ensure everyone lives well with dementia

Story

Employees from local law firm Mills Selig will be tackling both the London and Belfast marathons in the coming weeks in aid of their chosen charity, Dementia NI.

First up, Communications and Marketing executive John Quinn will join 40,000 runners from around the world to take on the iconic London Marathon on Sunday 23 April. Then a week later on Sunday 30 April, the Mills Selig Marathon relay team will be going for local glory as they test themselves at Belfast Marathon.

"We are thrilled to be supporting such a worthwhile cause in Dementia NI," said Maeve Fisher, Partner within Mills Selig’s Litigation team and Head of the firm’s Charity Committee, "Our entire team is passionate about making a positive impact in the world and we are excited to use this opportunity to raise funds and awareness for such an important cause - thank you to everyone able to donate to this hugely worthwhile cause.”

Dementia NI is a local charity supporting people living with dementia. People with dementia taking action, having their voices heard and improving the lives of everyone who has dementia.

The lives of people are dramatically changed by a dementia diagnosis. Our vision is to ensure everyone living with dementia in NI will receive an accurate and timely diagnosis, have access to appropriate services and will live well with the right support. We will continue to raise awareness, educate, train and challenge the stigma of dementia.
