Story
I am taking part in this abseiling fundraiser as cancer has affected my life since 2014.
Cavendish helped me when I was trying to deal with the realisation that I would lose my Dad. But Cavendish are so much more than that, they create a safe space for people to talk about their emotions about cancer without any judgement. They helped me so much at the time and I have managed to carry their guidance through the years, after losing multiple family members. But this fundraiser isn’t just about those we’ve lost, it’s also about those who are still with us and have beat cancer.
Without Cavendish, families would feel like they were the only people going through the heartache of a cancer diagnosis. They help the cancer patient and the family members as well, this is why this charity deserves recognition and the donations they receive.
Doing abseiling on Father’s Day is so important to me, as it can be such a dark day. If those fighting cancer can be brave enough to put up a fight, I can be brave enough to face my biggest fear - heights. I will be abseiling off a 12 storey building and I hope the sponsors I get, will help other families
This is for my family 💜
