15 Incredible people are running The London Landmarks Half Marathon for The Skye High Foundation. This is our 3rd year taking part to raise funds to continue supporting families who have experienced the loss of a twin, triplet or multiples.

Story

Three cousins are taking on the London landmarks half marathon to raise money for a charity Millie set up in 2016 after the loss of one of her twins, Skye.

“After starting the charity back in 2016 after the loss of one of our twins, Skye we have been working hard to support families in our situation. Supporting families during and after the loss of a twin, triplet or multiples.

Now I have decided its my turn to help raise funds and run for Skye and have roped my cousins in to join me!!!

After 10 years of zero exercise this is a big big big challenge but one I am taking on!

I am running for Skye Lily, Our purple butterfly.

Thank you to every single person that has supported me so far during the beginning of my training, I have a very long way to go until I am able to run a half marathon but I am excited to do it and proud to run for my baby girl.

Every penny raised is used to support families after the devastating loss of a twin or multiples. We are a small UK based charity and our trustees volunteer their time, without payment. We have no premises or large expenditure so when I say, EVERY PENNY is used to support families, it really is.

Anything you can give would be so greatly appreciated.

Look forward to sharing my progress over the next few month in the lead up to the LLHM.

Thanks again xx

About the charity

The Skye High Foundation was set up to help families dealing with the loss of a baby who was part of a multiple birth. We created a purple butterfly cot card and poster. The cot card allows families the opportunity to make others around them aware of the journey they are going through.
