Story
I have always been scared of water and I did not know how to swim. All that changed in August 2022 during our family holiday in Barmouth, Wales. Our 2 daughters Mabel and Elsie were paddling in the sea, when they were swept out by a fast moving tide. Our girls are alive now thanks to knowing the safety advice of Float to Live and the quick action of the RNLI’s lifeboat crew. Just one month after the rescue I started taking swimming lessons, and I began training to be a water safety volunteer at the RNLI.
We will be forever grateful to the RNLI for saving our daughters and the Barmouth Lifeboat Crew will always have a special place in our hearts.
As a charity, the RNLI depends on donations so it can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe.
Thank you.
