Story
Truth be told I got carried away at a charity auction and before I knew it I had signed Yianna and I up for a charity bike ride to Paris. Yes, there were likely a few drinks involved prior to bidding. I’m obviously the last person who would volunteer to ride a bike from London to Paris. I don’t actually own a bike, which makes this even more problematic. That said, I’m going to do this thing because it’s such a worthy cause. They might have to throw me and my bike in the back of a truck to get across the finish line, but I’m going all the way.
Cure Leukaemia helps blood cancer patients to access pioneering drug and transplant treatments by funding a network of specialist research nurses across the UK. Without these nurses, to ensure patients are monitored and cared for, clinical trials of these new treatments would not run and patients, that have exhausted standard treatment options, would miss out on potentially lifesaving therapies. Every penny raised for Cure Leukaemia helps save lives and also hastens global progress towards the eradication of all forms of blood cancer.
NOTE: The date listed (which I can't edit) is incorrect. The ride is in June 2025.
