Story
I am running the London Marathon to help give back to a charity that do great work and one that I have benefitted from during my time serving in the Army.
I served with 33 Bomb Disposal EOD Regiment Royal Engineers for seven years. During that time I spent time overseas in operational theatres.
The work that the BFF do to help keep the morale and motivation of our troops high when serving our country whilst being away from home, friends and family for long periods is an amazing thing. I am undertaking this marathon to try and raise some essential funds to help enable the foundation carry on this work.
The British Forces Foundation (BFF) conveys the public appreciation and support of our Armed Forces personnel and their families through live entertainment shows, boosting morale and enhancing unit cohesion. Over the years they have adapted to meet the ever-changing needs of our serving personnel with the support of corporate and charitable donations. Which is why I am asking for you to show your support of our Armed Forces, through the BFF and let them know that whilst they are not on the front pages on a daily basis they are not forgotten, and I hope you will support me to help them carry on the vital work they do for our Nation.
