Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My son Max was born with a rare liver disease of the bile ducts called Biliary Atresia.
At the age of 7 weeks old Max started his journey in and out of Birmingham Children's hospital and underwent his first surgical procedure.
Unfortunately a few months after this we found out it hadn't worked, and the only option to save his life was a liver transplant, which he received in March at only 7 months old!
I have decided to run the Stroud Half Marathon to raise awareness for all the families and children suffering with liver disease.
I would like to raise money towards a chairty based organisations called Children's Liver Disease Foundation who offer support and information for all parents dealing with a child going through liver disease and helping all the children in their own liver journey through what can be a very challenging time.
Any donation would be great help towards the small organisationand greatly appreciated.
Mike.
