Story

There isn’t enough words to write about what a wonderful man our dad, Mike Hughes was so we are keeping this short and sweet.

On the 23rd October 2018 a huge hole was left in our hearts when our dad took his last breath. At the young ages of 21 and 23 nothing prepared us for that day.

Dad was diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer a few years prior to that however no treatment was required and continued living life to the full. In the September his health took a turn for the worst and within 6 weeks he was gone.

So me and my sister Alex, have decided to run the London Marathon 2025 in memory of our beloved Dad.

This charity holds a special place in our hearts and is the UK's only charity dedicated to lymphoma, the 5th most common cancer. Their mission is to make sure no one faces lymphoma alone.

We want to be able to spread the word about information and support that is available to all who may be suffering from ,or supporting someone with Lymphoma.

So if you could kindly spare a donation however small we would be forever grateful.

And as we embark on this life challenge of training up until the big day we will think of our Dad and be thankful for all the memories we had with him.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and to Lymphoma Action for the opportunity.
