Blue Apple makes a huge difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities, people who we believe should be treated equally and fairly both in the arts and beyond.

Our mission is to challenge prejudices through high-quality and inclusive artistic practices, enabling people with learning disabilities to achieve excellence in all levels of their life.

Through Blue Apple, our talented performers gain confidence, increase their fitness levels, develop friendships – all of which will benefit their mental health and wellbeing.

I’ve been a volunteer for over 5 years, and served on the board of Trustees for a year too, so it’s a special organisation to my heart.

The challenge - walk two marathons in a month. The Farnham Pilgrim Marathon on 10th September and The Clarendon Marathon on 1st October.

Both a pretty tough trails, but training is going well and in the last 6 weeks, I’ve put in over 100 miles of hiking over the Clarendon route mostly, including a 30km stretch of it.

So, any pennies you can spare, I’d be grateful.
