Story
Hello!
Thank you for taking the time to view my fundraising page.
Next year, I’ll be cycling from the doors of St Peter’s Hospice in Bristol to the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Four days, over 400km – all to raise vital funds for local patients and their families.
This is a huge challenge to take on, and I’ve pledged to raise £1,750 to support the hospice. This could fund over 50 hours of care from a nurse, helping ensure that local patients receive the care, support, and advice they need during the toughest times.
I’m proud to be taking on this challenge alongside my friend James. He has been deeply inspired by the incredible care that St Peter’s Hospice provided to his loved ones, including his cousins Daniel and Jen, and his aunties Mary and Marg. Their bravery, and the comfort and dignity the hospice was able to give them during their most difficult moments, has motivated him to ride in their memory.
All of St Peter’s Hospice’s services are provided completely free of charge, and it’s thanks to wonderfully generous people like you that they can continue to provide their vital work.
They’ve shared this statement:
“We believe everyone deserves care and dignity at the end of their life, and our expert teams provide that in a professional and caring way. Our support is holistic, and covers the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual issues that can arise as a result of serious illness. We also extend our care to loved ones and carers, providing respite during the hardest of times. Thanks to donations like yours, we can be a voice at the end of the phone, a nurse on the doorstep, and a hand to hold through the darkest of times.”
Thank you so much for your support – every single pound will make a difference and help us reach our target.
