2019: spinal chord injury - as a result I’m paralysed from just below the shoulders down the rest of my body; and with limited hand function, constant hand pain plus other issues.

2020: 2 years rehab starts.

2022: fractured lower spine.

But there’s always someone worse off than me…….that’s why I’m cycling in Ride London 100 to raise money for Children with Cancer UK. It’s a cause that I care about and which does a huge amount for children suffering from this horrible illness.

For 35 years, the charity has funded research into the causes of childhood cancers, and development of better, kinder treatments as well as funding initiatives that support children and their families through cancer treatment and beyond.
