Story

Thank you for supporting our fundraising for Shaun in the Heart of Kent, and in turn the work of your local Hospice.

MidKent College, Progression Department have pledged to raise £750 + towards our Shaun the Sheep project. This wonderful project allows our students to think creatively and engage in an external project with the wider community through the large local art trail.

Some of the things our students will be taking in part in are:

* Designing & Decorating our Shaun

* Christmas Craft Stall

* Guess the name of the Sheep

* Table Tennis Tournament

Please be as generous as you can, and thank you for your support.

What Heart of Kent Hospice's Story:

Following the success of Elmer’s Big Heart of Kent Parade, we are excited to be bringing Shaun the Sheep in the Heart of Kent to the local area in the summer of 2024, in partnership with Wild in Art, Aardman and Presenting Partner, Maidstone Borough Council.

The big sculptures will be designed and painted by local and national artists and will be auctioned at the end of the trail to raise money for our Hospice, while the little Shaun sculptures will be adopted, designed and decorated by schools, community groups and care homes.

Shaun in the Heart of Kent is about partnership. It will bring together local companies, schools, community groups and care homes and creative sectors to highlight the area’s best assets, inspire civic pride amongst residents, and boost the local economy.

Your support is as vital as our care.By joining our Learning & Community Programme flock, you will be supporting the work of your local Hospice. The trail creates a platform for us to be able to dispel many of the myths that exist about Hospice care and for us to talk to the local community about our services in a fun and engaging way. With more people knowing about how we can help them, we believe many more people are getting the support that they need.
