Next month I am running to raising money for a charity that I'm deeply passionate about, and work closely with - Only A Pavement Away.

I'm taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 7th April 2024, my first long distance race since my daughter was born, and fair to say I'm out of practice, tired and I expect this to be grueling!

I've worked with Only A Pavement Away for 2 years, supporting them to raise the charity's profile across the trade, however, I want to do more to actively support with fundraising!

Only A Pavement Away's work is so incredible as they support people facing homelessness, prison leavers and veterans find employment in the hospitality industry, the sector that launched my own career.

Despite being founded only 5 years ago Only A Pavement Away has already had a huge impact, placing over 450 vulnerable people into employment, making a massive different to these individuals and providing a real service to the hospitality industry.

Over the next six years it is estimated that there will be around 1.3million vacancies in the hospitality industry. At the same time, the number of people who are facing or are at risk of becoming homeless, is rising rapidly, so Only A Pavement's work is becoming ever more important.
