Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year i'm raising money for the Army Cadet Charitable Trust (ACCT) Details below re what the ACCT does. I'll be taking part in a marathon, metric marathon, half marathon, and completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks. As I am an old fart, and hate running, this year will definitely be a challenge for me.....If you can't donate, please share my page.
(for info - the marathon is the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon in May. They are happy that this year i'm raising money for a different organisation. However, I've made my own donation to them this year, as they will always remain close to my heart.)
So - info below re the ACCT:
Formed over 90 years ago, we provide vital funds to help young people to learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired through their Army Cadet experience.Through our range of grants programmes we support thousands of Army Cadets and ACF Adult Volunteers in the UK to access activities and development opportunities that make a positive impact for life.
We believe that by supporting young people in the UK to access the ACF, we can help to develop their physical, mental and social skills to give them the best possible start in life and help them achieve their life ambitions. We also value ACF volunteers and are committed to developing their youth leadership and training abilities.
