Story
The 2nd April 2024 marks 5 years since my darling son, Connor, passed away whilst at University in Manchester from complications of Type 1 diabetes. He was only 18 years old. Prior to attending University Connor studied with Albion in the Community (AITC), the former name of Brighton & Hove Foundation, which is the official charity of Brighton & Hove Albion FC. He spent two very happy years there, and learnt a lot about the fantastic work they do in our local area.
Since his passing "Team Connor" as we have the honor of calling ourselves, have been raising money through various fundraisers, runs, raffles etc. and are proud, with the help of family, friends, Brighton FC supporters and strangers to have raised £22,700 in Connor's memory.
On the 28th June 2024 Connor would've turned 24. To recognise this and in our continued commitment to support The Brighton & Hove Foundation and keep Connor's memory alive, myself, Michelle, Connor's Mum and our dear friend Rona, will be abseiling down the I360 in Brighton on the 31st August 2024.
Any donations would be so much appreciated as we would really like to get to £24,000 to recognise Connor's upcoming 24th birthday and raise much needed funds.
Brighton & Hove Foundation work to change lives, creating opportunities and building futures across Sussex. We run inclusive football sessions for people with a disability, provide education programs, support schools with the PE and curriculum, deliver health messages and run free inclusive football sessions for children and young people living areas of deprivation.
