Story

As many people know my beautiful Mummy has Alzheimer's disease. It’s been the longest and cruelest of journeys. It’s been 7 years since diagnosis and a couple of years before knowing things were just not as they should be.

It’s devastating for so many families, and sadly we all know somebody who has it or affected by it.

On 28th April 2025 my Mummy will be 80. On 27th April I am going to try my hardest and put myself through London marathon and hopfully raise as much money as possible for this charity so close to my heart 🧡 I hope one day there will be a cure and families don’t have to watch their loved ones suffer. Thankyou all for your support and please send me lots of encouragement and inspiring motivation as I know I’ll need it every step of the way.

Every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.

We are the UK's leading dementia research charity. We exist for a cure.

Your donation helps our scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and find a cure for dementia.
