Story
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK.
Last year I followed the story of Laura Nuttall who was diagnosed with Diffuse Glioblastoma Multiforme, which is the most aggressive Stage 4 brain cancer. Very sadly, Laura passed away on 22 May 2023. Her family campaign tirelessly to try to get more funding allocated to researching brain tumours.
I was so inspired by Laura's journey, she did some amazing things before she died and it really made me want to contribute to a charity that is constantly fighting to find a cure for all brain tumours.
So, on Saturday 3rd August I will be challenging my fear of heights by jumping 15,000 feet from a plane, attached to a stranger who I am trusting knows a hell of a lot more about parachutes than me!
Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
