Story
As most of you are aware i lost my son and Michelle & Caroline lost there brother to suicide . Michael battled with his mental health for many years, on the day he died there were no signs that he was going to take his own life, He was laughing and joking with me and his sister chelle, so as you can imagine it was a Huge shock when Michael left a voice message saying he was feeling so low and that he has had enough of feeling this way and battling with his demons, Michael did not tell us where he was, it took 3 days for us to find him. He was at peace but our pain began that day and will remain with us for life.On august 26th myself and my daughter’s and other family members/friends are walking from north pier Blackpool to Stanley arms in Preston to raise money for the Samaritan’s so they can continue their vital work and make sure there is someone there for anyone who need’s someone . The Samaritan’s vision is that fewer people die by suicide. To achieve this, they believe they have a crucial role to play in:• Reducing the risk factors that make some people more likely to take their own lives.• Ensuring that people who are at increased risk of suicide are supported.• Making it less likely that people who do experience suicidal thoughts act on them.• Reducing the likelihood that people will develop suicidal thoughts.Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy, By doing this sponsored walk we are helping the Samaritan’s be there for the people who need them most, so are you by sponsoring us, so I thank you in advance and remember your sponsor could help save life’s, we will also be walking in Memory of Michael and everyone who has lost a loved one to suicide. LET’S END THE STIGMA!!!! IT’S OK NOT TO BE OK
