Story
Angela and I are taking on the HYROX challenge in aid of Macmillan Cancer. Although both regular gym goers this is out with our comfort zone. As part of this event we will be pushing ourselves through a series of tough workouts to raise funds for an incredible cause. For those that do not know what HYROX is, participants are required to race through a course made up of 8 stations, each testing different aspects of physical fitness with a 1Km run between each station. The stations include: Skierg, Sled push, Sled pull, Burpee broad jumps, rowing, Kettlebell farmer carries, Sandbag lunges and wall balls.
Macmillan provides vital support to people affected by cancer, offering advice, treatment support and financial help during the toughest times of their lives, most of us have known someone who is/has been affected by cancer and the services that Macmillan provide are invaluable during this time.
This will be a huge physical and mental challenge for us both and any donation would be appreciated to help with the motivation to push us on with our training (which will be a challenge in itself!).
There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
Thank you!
