As many will know I have been receiving treatment for Breast Cancer these last few months. Throughout this time i was referred to The wonderful team at the Holistic Care Centre for complementary therapies to aid symptoms and relaxation. These included Massage, Reflexology, Reiki amongst others and are all free of charge to Cancer patients.

This service is ran on charitable donations therefore to give a little back; I have signed up to run the Middlesbrough 10K on Sep 1st and would be grateful of any donations offered to support this great charity. Although I have ran previously, since Radiotherapy the fatigue and tiredness I still face has made most things, including running so much harder, I’m almost starting back at the beginning; so definitely a personal challenge for me.

We have been providing emotional, practical and wellbeing support to people affected by cancer and some other long-term conditions for over 20 years.

*Services we offer include:

Complementary therapies such acupuncture, massage, reflexology, aromatherapy and reiki

Emotional and psychological support, including mindfulness, hypnotherapy

Wellbeing support such as support groups, pamper sessions, hair loss services, wellbeing volunteer calls

We are there from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond including providing care and compassion for those at the end of their life.

Our award-winning service costs £300,000 per year and relies on charitable donations to keep supporting patients, carers and families across Teesside, North Yorkshire and Co. Durham.
