Story

I'm writing to you today to ask for your help with an important cause. In a few months, I will be participating in the Easter Run, and I will be running under the banner of LPP (Light Project Peterborough). I'm not a great runner and often collapse after 10 meters. I prefer sports that don't involve running. However, I believe that with your help, I can run 5k because it's all for a good cause. Below is more information about the cause and the place I want to support.

The vision of LPP is ‘Enabling and equipping the church and community to heal the broken hearted, set free the oppressed and bring good news to the poor.’

Their aim is to be a truly city-focused, city-change charity by providing projects such as Street Chaplaincy, Homeless Health Hub, Emergency Night Shelter, and Peer Support.

LPP's biggest project though is The Garden House which opened in October 2018 and is Peterborough’s homeless hub. It is instrumental in both delivering and enabling others to respond to the needs of the homeless in Peterborough. Between April 2023 and end of February 2024, 754 different people were supported at The Garden House with a total of 12,225 support activities.
