Michael’s Birthday Party is a fundraising event which takes place every November.

Whilst it may be named in celebration of Edinburgh Tennis coach Michael Millar’s birthday, the event is actually an afternoon of fun tennis games that bring junior and teenage tennis players from across Edinburgh together to raise money for a great cause.

Each year the event attracts more than 80 players and the last two parties raised more than £3000 combined for the Edinburgh Food Project.

This year the event will run for juniors and teenagers on Saturday 8th November '25 and Saturday 15th November '25 respectively in the indoor tennis dome at Merchiston School which represents a fantastic opportunity to play in one of the best tennis facilities in Scotland.

In addition, the event will include an event for adult players on Saturday 15th November '24 featuring a fun, social doubles tournament.

There is no fee to join the event but players are encouraged to make a donation to the Edinburgh Food Project who we will be supporting during 2025 and beyond.

Finally, each event will finish with some delicious pizza from well known Edinburgh pizza restaurant Civerinos.
