We are part of the local recreational ice hockey team Riverside Raiders, based at Widnes ice rink. We’ve had some great success as a team including becoming the summer cup champions of 2023. This year we are having 10-year anniversary for the club, and we would like to mark this occasion by giving something back for charity.

As a team we have set up a challenge that has never been done before. Our aim is to climb Snowdon in our full, extensive hockey gear (without skates of course) and try to raise some money for Rethink Mental Health Charity. This event is planned to take place on 3rd of March 2024 as this will be 149 years since the first recorded ice hockey game took place at Victoria Skating Rink in Montreal.
