Amanda lost her dad, Ian, to MND on 2nd April 2024 and in his memory she is undertaking 10 Challenges starting in June 2024, to raise awareness of MND and to raise funds for the MND Association.

MND is a cruel and devastating disease that affects the nerves in the brain and spinal cord. It is a rapidly progressing condition which on average kills a third of people within a year and more than half of people within two years.

Amanda's mission is to raise £10,000 (£1k for each challenge) and to get as many people involved as possible to raise awareness - come join Team Amanda & fight MND together!

£1,000 is enough money to pay for a wheelchair ramp for someone living with MND, and to pay for more than 40 copies of the young persons guide to MND. Alternatively it's enough to pay for the DNA of one person living with MND to be analysed in detail, to support research into a cure.

£10,000 is enough to pay for two MND patients to take part in a clinical trial for a year - to help us find a cure.
