Story
William Tyndale lived during the time of Henry VIII and translated the bible into English from the greek and hebrew manuscripts. Henry was not pleased so this act of translating the bible cost Tyndale his life.
I love the bible and want others to love and read and learn and memorise Gods truth. Values shared by the Bible Society
So to support the Bible Society in June 2024 I am cycling from William Tyndale's birth place in Gloucestershire to the place of his execution In Vilvoorde near Brussels to raise funds for the bible society......as they write
'Your donation will help to get the life-changing message of the Bible to those places where it is desperately needed – places like Ukraine, China, and the very lands where the Bible was written. '
