Mike Scott. Doesn't Dance. Can't Dance....but giving it a go for Maggie's Charity

Strictly Maggie's 2024 · 17 November 2024 ·
Maggie's is an amazing charity organisation that supports patients and their families through the awful times associated with a Cancer diagnosis. They are not "just another cancer charity". Maggie's offers all kinds of support for everyone that is affected by the diagnosis. They offer support, advice and most of all a community spirit for everyone in that situation. Nobody should suffer the anguish of a cancer diagnosis on their own be they the patient or loved ones, and Maggie's helps ease the pain by its own particular brand of support.
My wife, Julie, had breast cancer 11 years ago. It was a devastating time for her and also for us as a family. I wish we had known about Maggie's at that time. She has worked as a volunteer (and fund raiser) at Maggie's for the last 10 years, she has raised tens of thousands of pounds for the charity with her various events. I therefore feel that the time has come for me to try to match her amazing contributions to the charity.
In an inexplicably weak moment I agreed to dance at the "Maggie's Strictly Come Dancing" extravaganza on November 17th 2024 at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool.
Now, a bit about me: I am nearly 70, I'm still working as a Consultant Surgeon which is a job I have done (and still love) for over 45 years.
I do NOT dance...I can't dance.....I have no rhythm...I'm so out of my comfort zone here.
So to make my anguish a little more palatable, please, please donate to the cause. No amount is too small (nor too big ha-ha)
