Story

In early June 2024 ten veteran village friends will be attempting to row 100 miles across Scotland against the wind and tide from Inverness in the east to Oban in the west. As the oldest member of the crew this will be a huge challenge for me in particular, and I need all your help and encouragement as I Row for the Flo.

The Florence Nightingale Aid in Sickness Trust (or the Flo as it is sometimes affectionately known) is a wonderful charity that assists people in need with illness or disability lead independent lives at home by providing vital equipment such as wheelchairs and specialist children's buggies and funding convalescent and respite breaks.

I have been involved with the Trust for over thirty years, many of them as Treasurer, and have seen at first hand what a difference these grants make so please be as generous as you can. All your donations will go straight to the charity.

Any money raised in excess of my target will be shared with the Friends of St Margaret's Church in the vital work of preserving and repairing this historic building
