I am seeking to raise money because of a dear friend of ours' who has recently received a diagnosis of cancer. She has received treatment including chemotherapy which has been very challenging.Our friend Gopa has suffered the loss of her hair which has been extremely distressing.In solidarity with her both I and my partner Kulvinder have shaved our own heads which has been a great experience in bringing us together as a group of friends. Kulvinder has recently been on BBC local radio and has spoken about the challenges that Gopa has experienced along with all of the other cancer sufferers. Thankfully our friend seems to be gradually recovering although it will no doubt be a long road. We will be with her throughout. So many people in our country and in the World will be touched by this dreadful disease and we feel that it is extremely important that as a society we 'pull together' in order to conquer this scourge on our friends and families. A donation to this website will enable us to raise funds for Cancer Research UK who are an Internationally recognised body working hard to find a cure for this dreadful disease. ALL of the money will go to Cancer Research. We are grateful for any donation which you can afford.
