Story

Headway Norfolk and Waveney improves lives impacted by brain injury. We do this by providing reablement and support to people who have had a brain injury, as well as supporting their loved ones, family and friends.

I have led Headway Norfolk & Waveney for the last year and a half, and having mentioned in the office about my terrifying fear of heights that stems from a visit to Go Ape, I agreed to take part in our Abseil down the forum. For me this is going to take some effort to complete and will hopefully help conquer my own fear!

My own personal link to Brain Injury is that in 2018 my Aunt had a stroke, followed by a traumatic brain injury whilst on holiday overseas in Italy. She was in a coma for three years following this event, before passing away last year. To me, helping people who have had a brain injury is a calling.

I have seen how a sudden and unpredictable event like a brain injury can change the lives of people forever. By supporting my fundraising, you'll be helping us in our mission to see that everyone who needs our support will get it.

Thanks very much,

Michael
