Howzit everyone!!
I am fundraising for Sport in Mind through outrageous haircuts before the annual bottle match.
While studying at Falmouth university I am lucky enough to play rugby for the historic Camborne School of Mines RFC who will be partaking in the second oldest varsity match in the world against Royal School of Mines RFC - THE BOTTLE MATCH.
Part of this historical tradition is a pre match ritual where fresher players such as yours truly will receive a questionable haircut from the older teammates in the name of raising money for the Sport in Mind charity.
Sport in Mind is the UK’s leading mental health sports charity and deliver physical activity (sport, walking, dance and movement, gardening and exercise sessions) projects in partnership with the amazing NHS in order to aid recovery, promote mental wellbeing, improve physical health, combat social isolation and empower people to move their lives forward in a positive direction.
20,000 people with mental health problems supported through sport and physical activity
94% of people have improved mental well-being after accessing sport
91% of people have improved self-esteem from being involved their sessions
Being someone who's mental health has massively benefited from my privilege to be able to play sport, please help me sacrifice my golden locks for a good cause.
