Story
In February 2024 my mum was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an incurable grade 4 cancer in the brain. She had a short and difficult battle and passed away just 4 months later. Travelling to and from UCLH five days a week for six weeks for mum to undergo chemotherapy and radiotherapy enabled us to build quite a relationship with many different departments at UCLH, in particular the radiotherapy team. Whilst navigating such a tragic time in our lives, the staff at the hospital were absolutely amazing and it made the decision very easy when wanting to give something back for all their help. Last year I successful organised a charity 5 a side tournament in memory of my mum and after such a great day, I decided to make this an annual event. Help us support the amazing work of UCLH NHS Trust.
