Story
Sadly, in July 2023, the much loved Chris Hancock decided to take his own life. Chris was 54.
Such was his impact that he lad on those that knew him that his passing will leave an unfillable void. But I really want to do something to honour his memory.
I grew up with Chris attending school with him in Porthmadog, North Wales from 13 to 16. Along with 3 other friends we went on our first lads holiday to Majorca aged 18. Chris was funny, a joker, hilarious, charming and the life and soul of any party, he just made me laugh.
Although we lost touch in adult life we rekindled through social media and on the few occasions we did get the chance to chat, giggles and stupidity were never far away.
I am already raising money for another charity in my bid to row The Atlantic Ocean in January 2024, a journey which will take me approximately 55 days covering 3,100 miles. Mind Cymru was a charity that I never expected to raise money for. However, such is my desire to do something on behalf of my fantastic friend that it is my absolute pleasure to raise funds on behalf of this amazing charity.
Sleep well Chris, you were much loved, will be forever missed and thank you for the laughs. xxx
