Story

When I was a boy, my two younger brothers died of septicaemia and a brain tumour. While my mother spent time in hospital caring for them, I stayed with my aunt and her two daughters Judy and Felicity. My aunt Kath, a talented ceramicist, taught me pottery and kindled my interest in art, which was invaluable to me as a respite during my medical career.

Now Judy one of my cousins has MND and I am selling my pottery to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The way my indomitable cousin Judy has dealt with this disease is an example to us all. Her bravery and positive attitude shows me that some good comes out of a terrible illness.

The money I raise from selling my work would help buy a text-to-speech device to enable someone with MND to continue communicating with their loved ones.
