Story
I consider February 4th as my 2nd birthday.
Why? It’s the day I was released from Guthrie Corning Hospital after a very close call with double Covid Pneumonia. My stay at the hospital was from 1/5/21 - 2/4/21.
Yes, 31 days starting in the ER, then moving to the Covid ward, to ICU bed #2 for 18 days and back to the 2nd floor before discharge. I received care by many Guthrie sections Drs, Nurses, Respiratory, Imaging, Blood draw and Pharmacy.
I know that I was blessed and luckier than many . For this I will always be grateful. Grateful to God, family and friends for prayers.
I am extremely grateful to the healthcare professionals at Guthrie Corning Hospital who were on the front line at a very challenging time.
I've created this page because I want to make a difference. I'm inspired by the work of Guthrie and the positive impact on the health and well-being of people in our area they make. I wanted to support the most critical healthcare needs of the greater Corning area by raising money for Guthrie Corning Hospital.
Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Guthrie Corning Hospital, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
Sincerely,
Mike Ambrosone
