Story

Hi! We are Mia and Isabelle and we are running the Hackney Half marathon for the amazing Hackney Night Shelter!

The shelter provides emergency accommodation for 26 people who would otherwise be sleeping on the streets. Staying at Hackney Night Shelter means a safe space to sleep, hot meals, and the support needed to move on to longer term accommodation for over 150 people every year.

We offer emergency shelter and support to people experiencing homelessness, and help them move on into longer term accommodation. We accommodate up to 26 people each night. Much of the work at our shelters is undertaken by volunteers, with move-on support provided by professional case workers.
