Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Psoriasis is an autoimmune skin condition that is thought to affect 2% of the UK population. A person who has psoriasis skin replacement process speeds up, taking just a few days to replace cells that usually take 21-28 days. This results in an accumulation of cells on the skins surface. There is no cure for psoriasis but there are treatments to help manage the condition.
I was diagnosed with severe guttate psoriasis in late 2021. For me, the psoriasis has covered most of my body which has been a challenging experience both physically and mentally. I have experienced unpredictable multiple outbreaks with the worst being just this May 2023.
I have chose to raise money for the Psoriasis Association who are the leading national charity working for people affected by psoriasis. All donations received help to sustain their work in supporting people affected by psoriasis, raise awareness of the condition and fund research projects.
To fundraise, I will be walking and running the length of a single or multiple Airport runway each day through June from across the globe. It is a random challenge I came up with and would love to raise money whilst I try to complete the challenge!
Thank you very much for taking the time to read my page. All donations and shares will be hugely appreciated.
Thank you!
