Story
Hi All,
As you probably know, I am a qualified social worker and now a registered manager, my amazing team are going to be completing the Stride through summer event in July and August to raise money for the charity Frontline.
We will each be walking 700,000 steps, throughout July and August, which if you know me, you know that will be a challenge in itself. Let alone with a holiday thrown in!
Frontline is England’s largest social work charity. Everything they do aims to make life better for children who need a social worker.
Too many children in England do not have a safe or stable home. Too many families are struggling. Today, social workers are needed more than ever before.
At Frontline, their vision is of a society where no child’s life chances are limited by their social or family circumstances. Everything they do aims to make life better for children who need a social worker, to help keep them safe from harm and to give them every possible chance to fulfil their potential.
They do this by developing social workers’ practice, building their leadership skills and encouraging them to innovate and find new ways to improve outcomes for children and families. By doing this, and by coming together, they hope we can achieve their mission of creating social change for children who don’t have a safe or stable home.
The YPAH Essex team are participating in the 'Stride through summer' event! We will each be walking 700,000 steps, throughout July and August, to raise funds for vulnerable children through the 'Frontline' charity. As a social work team this cause is incredibly close to our hearts, and your support is very much appreciated 🫶
