Story
Mrs Woodfield and the children of Meltham Moor are all to take part in the London marathon in 2023.
Mrs Woodfield ran the actual marathon in London (No. 41108 if the children would like to track her results on the app!) on Sunday 23rd April completing the 26 miles in an amazing 3hours 15minutes! And the children are all going to take part in the virtual mini-London marathon, running, jogging, or walking a mile during school time on the 19th May.
Meltham Moor is joining together with other schools across the country in an attempt to break the World Record for making the most pledges to join an exercise campaign in one month.

These are fantastic achievements and we would like to invite you and your families and friends to sponsor the children and Mrs Woodfield to raise money for the school PTA.
These funds will be used to provide further opportunities and experiences for the children. The PTA helps to fund experiences like the annual lambing trips, pays for Purple Mash and supports the SATS breakfast week as well as managing the upkeep of the woodland areas.
All support is welcome and will contribute to the wellbeing and adventures of the children within the school!
Update June 23 from Mrs Woodfield:
The mini-marathon was a wonderful event, every child in the school ran, from Nursery to Year 6, and we were also helped by some young sport leaders from Honley High School. All of the staff joined in, as well as many parents, The field was awash with happy smiles and shouts of support & encouragement, It was lovely to see so many people being active and having fun doing so. The sun even came out for us!
